As night falls, the buildings shed their daytime appearance and welcome another visual feast. And the key to this feast is precisely those seemingly insignificant yet powerfully energetic LED point lights. They are like the "pixels of light" in the digital age, reshaping the nighttime expressions of the building facades in an unprecedented way.
Unlike traditional floodlighting, the charm of LED point light sources lies in the infinite possibilities of "turning a point into a surface". Each point light source is an independent pixel unit, precisely controlled through intelligent systems such as DMX512. Thousands upon thousands of point light sources can interweave to form a flowing digital painting. Whether it's changing patterns, scrolling text, or smooth animations, all can be perfectly presented on the building facade. On the sixteen buildings in Laoshan District, Qingdao, nearly 600,000 point-shaped pixel lights are installed on the exterior of the buildings. The dense arrangement of low-power point light sources and the brilliant colors ensure the authenticity and resolution of the overall image effect of the media facade. The building is no longer just cold concrete and glass; instead, it transforms into a "breathing" giant screen.

Another significant advantage of LED point light sources lies in their utmost respect for the building itself. They are small in size and lightweight, and can be perfectly integrated into the curtain wall structure, truly achieving the effect of "seeing the light but not the lamp". Whether embedded in perforated aluminum panels or hidden in the joints of glass curtain walls, point light sources can shine brightly at night without spoiling the daytime appearance of the building. At the same time, LED light sources are energy-efficient, have a lifespan of up to tens of thousands of hours, and significantly reduce the cost of later maintenance. They are an excellent implementation of the green lighting concept.
More importantly, the point light sources give the building facade the ability to tell dynamic stories. They can be the cheerful, dazzling light show during festivals, or the steady, static light projection on ordinary days; they can be in sync with the rhythm of music, or present poetic scenes like "High Mountains and Flowing Water". At the Nanxun International Conference Center, over 2,600 sets of LED point light sources, through programming, create a flow of interlaced light points, beautifully presenting the elegant shape beauty of the building in the form of water droplets; at the Maoming Olympic Sports Center, nearly 220,000 point light sources make the perforated aluminum plate curtain in the shape of lychees shine brightly in the night.
From sketching the outline to covering the grand screen, from static decoration to dynamic interaction - LED point light sources are redefining the relationship between buildings and light. It gives each building a unique nighttime language, and makes the city's night sky more vivid and imaginative. When the lights come on, the buildings have a soul.
